  • What Are the Benefits?

In this blog, here is information regarding the benefits of laser hair removal. Read more to find out.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures performed in the U.S. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorbs the light. That destroys the hair.

There are many benefits of laser hair removal. Here are several of them:

  • No more or reduced shaving to remove unwanted hair
  • No more or reduced tweezing to remove unwanted hair
  • No more or reduced waxing to remove unwanted hair
  • No ingrown hairs
  • Drastically reduces hair growth
  • You can get it done anywhere on the body, and the machine can cover large places fast like legs, back, underarms, bikini line, stomach, and face

Here are some more defined benefits of laser hair removal:

Precision. With a laser, it can specifically target dark, coarse hairs without damaging the surrounding skin.

Speed. Taking a fraction of a second, each pulse of the laser can treat many hairs at the same time. Every second, the laser can treat an area the size of a quarter. Smaller areas like the upper lip can be treated in less than a minute. It may take approximately an hour for larger areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour.

Predictability. Depending on the patient, you can expect to have permanent hair loss after an average of three to seven sessions in most cases.

Minimal discomfort. When it comes to pain level, laser hair removal falls somewhere between shaving, which is painless and waxing, which can be extremely painful. Ice can be used to help numb the area before and after the laser treatment. With more frequency, the treatments get progressively less painful, and the hair becomes finer.

Minimal side effects. There are only a few minor side effects, and they do not last long.

Common Treatment Areas

There are zones of treatment areas that are arranged from small to large.
